Designed and analyzed a steel truss for a hockey arena under realistic dead and snow loading conditions.
The project followed Canadian structural design principles, including load paths, factored loads, and member force analysis.

Process
Modeled the complete roof truss in SolidWorks using properly sized HSS members with assigned steel material properties.

Internal member forces and support reactions were calcualted through a static study (linear FEA) to support structural integrity.

Documented all internal forces, reactions, and member data from Solidworks to Excel for reporting.

These forces were verified by written cross-sectional cut solutions, and the analysis performed was executed correct.
A topology study was completed on this truss from these specified forces, it was not implemented as this project was done for my Mechanics class (out of the scope of my course).
